Love Note Journaling & The High Heart

Hi there!

In my last post, I talked a little bit about my new practice of love note journaling. That is, I hadn’t started it yet when I last wrote, because I was waiting for my new journal to arrive in the mail. I ordered one specifically for my love notes, and here it is (see picture)! img_0271🙂 It’s a small journal, as the love notes don’t have to be long. Only a paragraph of up to 3-5 sentences is really all it takes. The idea is to really tune into self-love, and being able to feel that love for yourself.

Some days that is easier than others, but taking the time to do the love notes every day, definitely makes a difference. If there are things about myself where I have a harder time feeling the love, I try to spend more time on those particular areas, really showering my love and attention there, whether they are physical things or a personality issue.

The reason why I wanted to start doing this was because I really feel that love is our greatest healer. It is my belief and something that the book by Anita Moorjani’s reinforced (I mentioned her book in my last post, Dying To Be Me, and how it inspired me to start the love notes in the first place). I believe that love is the fundamental energy of the universe, and that we are all deeply loved. When we are on the other side of the veil (so to speak), we are connected to this love, however, as we are born into this world and our experiences here start to bog us down, we forget this love. We cut ourselves off from it. So I wanted to do these daily love notes, to remind myself of this love that is there for all of us, if we just take the time to tune into it.

The love notes are really just affirmations, but I allow them to come up spontaneously every day, tuning into where I want to focus the love. Once I have written them down, I then read them out loud to myself, and really tune into the feeling of love, feeling it in each part of my body, and especially the heart. Before I even do the love notes themselves, I also meditate for about 10-15 minutes, focusing on opening my heart, and connecting with the love. I sit crosslegged with my hands crossed, one over the other, at the heart center in the middle of the chest. That way when it is time to do the love notes, my heart is already open, and I am connected to that loving feeling.

Speaking of the heart center, which is really just another name for the heart chakra, there is also something called the High Heart, which is often referred to as a second heart chakra, located a little bit higher on the chest. I’m bringing up the High Heart, because I was listening to a channelled message earlier today (by Kryon, in case you were wondering, look him up, he is amazing!), where the High Heart was mentioned. It wasn’t the first time I had heard of it, but I loved the way it was referred to in that particular message.

It basically boils down to the High Heart being to the Heart what the Higher Self is to the Self. So it is basically love in a higher state of consciousness. Just as we can access the Higher Self through meditation, we can do the same with the High Heart. Accessing and aligning with the High Heart, means to open up to pure, unconditional love. To me there is nothing greater! If we can merge with the consciousness of the High Heart, even for just a few minutes a day, but consistently do it, so much more love can be felt and shared in our lives.

Since starting love note journaling these past couple of weeks, I have been feeling happier, more joyful and loving towards myself and others. Some of my friends also loved the idea and have began doing it too. I hope you will join us! And as of today I also plan to connect with the High Heart every day, and endeavor to connect even deeper with that universal love that is a part of all of us, and also everything around us. I believe it is time to bring a higher consciousness of love to this earth, and I also believe that it starts with each and every one of us. Why not be a channel for good, a channel for love, and join me?

Love & light,

PS. I am planning to offer up a FREE online Challenge, called The Chakra Challenge very soon. It’s basically a 7-day journey of daily email lessons, where we will learn about a new Chakra every day, and do a little exercise to balance and embody its energies. We will also all gather for support and daily love in my new free Facebook Group, The Inner Connection (join us here by clicking the link). It won’t be the same without you, so I hope you will join us for this fun and free Challenge, and dive a little deeper into the Chakras, for more joy, peace and balance! More information coming soon…

This is a great idea!! I used to write often, but mostly when I was hurting or angry and I could never even force myself to write bout happier things. Then I found myself not writing at all. I try to occasionally but I end up hiding it, it was my anger and hate!!
I want to write a novel and I have an idea and got all organized and ideas just started coming but I froze trying to even put the storyline ideas into words.
I think that maybe instead of writing prompts I should start with this idea!!
